Cardiac Rehab (Garon Lifestyle Center)

The Garon Lifestyle Center Cardiac Rehab Program, which began in 1980, is part of the comprehensive cardiac servicces of the Jewish Hospital Heart and Lung Institute. The staff of cardiologists, registered nurses, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, registered dietitians and social workers use a team approach to address both the physical and emotional needs of patients and their families.

The Garon Lifestyle Center Cardiac Rehab Program consists of four distinct phases which encompass inpatient, outpatient and maintenance care for individuals with heart-related illnesses. The four-phase approach centers on the changing needs and concerns of the heart patient and his or her family.

In addition to cardiac rehab, the Garon Lifestyle Center operates a prevention and wellness program at the downtown location. The Preventive Heart Center runs programs that offer help with exercise and risk factor modification for individuals who are wanting to adopt a healthier lifestyle.
