Robert Paul Scharff, M.D.
 Robert
P. Scharff, M.D., a native Louisvillian, received his bachelor of science
and master’s of chemical engineering degree with high honors from
the University of Louisville. After working as a chemical engineer and
receiving a master of business administration degree at the University
of West Florida, he returned to Louisville to attend the University of
Louisville School of Medicine. He graduated in 1995 and completed his
residency training in combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the
University of Louisville in 1999. He served as Chief Resident in the
Internal Medicine and Pediatrics program in 1998 – 1999 and received
the Chairman’s Achievement Award in Pediatrics in 1999.
Dr. Scharff is board certified in both Internal Medicine (medicine
for adults) and Pediatrics. He is gratis faculty for the University of
Louisville
Department of Internal Medicine. Dr. Scharff is a member of the American
College of Physicians, American Society of Internal Medicine, American
Academy of Pediatrics, Jefferson County Medical Society and the Tau
Beta Pi Engineering Honor society. He is also a team physician for Southern
High School.
Dr. Scharff is married and has four children. He enjoys basketball,
swimming, reading and hiking.
