Michael
Needleman, M.D.
 Michael Needleman, M.D., is a native of Bardstown, Kentucky, and has
been with Family Practice Associates since 1975. He received his bachelor
of science degree from the University of Kentucky, and his medical
degree from Northwestern University, where he also completed his postgraduate
training. Dr. Needleman then accepted a position as a full-time instructor
in the Department of Family Practice at the University of Illinois.
He
is board certified in family practice and has continued to be recertified
every six years.
Dr. Needleman is an associate professor in the Department of Family
Practice at the University of Louisville, with a special interest
in instruction
in colon cancer screening. He is a member of the Jefferson County
Medical Society, Kentucky Medical Association, and American Medical Association,
as well as local and state chapters of the American Academy of Family
Physicians. Dr. Needleman is a member of the Louisville Metro Board
of Health and has been a team physician for Southern High School.
Dr. Needleman is married with one daughter. He enjoys golf and tennis.
He tries to be both a U of L and U of K sports fan!
