Outpatient Surgery Close to Home

Sanjiv Mehta, M.D., performs orthopaedic surgery at MCS.
As a Bullitt County resident, you have access to a full range of outpatient surgical services right in your community. Jewish Hospital Medical Center South (MCS) has four full-service operating rooms (ORs) for a vast array of procedures.

Three Reasons to Choose MCS

Local surgeons like Sanjiv Mehta, M.D., prefer to perform surgeries at MCS instead of other hospitals. We think Dr. Mehta’s reasons will resonate with you, too. “There are three main reasons I choose to perform surgeries at MCS,” said Dr. Mehta, of Blue Star Orthopedics. “First is the convenient location right in Bullitt County. Second is the sense of community with the staff at MCS and knowing they are my patients’ neighbors. Last is the Jewish Hospital brand name and the quality of care behind it.”

Our surgeons can perform procedures in a range of specialties, including general surgery; ear, nose and throat; gynecology; ophthalmology; orthopaedics; urology; and adult and pediatric dentistry.

Private Rooms, Better Technology

MCS is an outpatient facility, but 23-hour overnight stays in completely private rooms can be arranged if necessary. Patients who do not require an overnight stay also have the comfort of a private room before and after the procedure.

Although MCS has been open less than three years, the OR nursing staff boasts more than 75 years of combined experience. And being a relatively new facility means the equipment in the OR is state-of-the-art, such as high-definition colonoscopes and the newest laparoscopic cameras for greater precision in surgery.

The next time you need surgery, ask your doctor if you can come to MCS, and experience quality care close to home. Our number is (502) 955-3000.
