Cancer Support Groups at Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s Heal
The Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare (JHSMH)
Cancer Services Department offers several support
groups that feature education from health care providers,
peer support, practical coping skills and some fun and
fellowship. The Cancer Services team at JHSMH partnered with
the American Cancer Society to incorporate the “I Can Cope”
series of classes into each of the groups. JHSMH brings in doctors,
nurses, social workers, other health care professionals and community
representatives to discuss a variety of topics, from diagnosis
and treatment side effects to tai chi and pain management.
