According to the American Diabetes Association, there are 20.8 million children and adults in the United States, or 7% of the population, who have diabetes. While an estimated 14.6 million have been diagnosed with diabetes, unfortunately, 6.2 million people (or nearly one-third) are unaware that they have the disease.

Jewish Hospital & St. Mary’s HealthCare is committed to assisting community members with their health care needs, which is why we offer two different diabetes programs.

The Jewish Hospital Diabetes Center, located at Westside Medical Center, offers comprehensive care including screening for complications associated with diabetes, coordination of care with medical specialists and diabetes education.

The Diabetes Management Program helps those who have been diagnosed with diabetes, to learn the basics of diabetes self-management. This program focuses on seven key behaviors that can help successfully control diabetes.

For more information about our diabetes programs call (502) 772-3315. The clinician can help determine which program would be the most appropriate for your needs.
