Safe Sight

The VNA Nazareth Home Care Safe Sight Program provides the specialized care for people with low vision. Our goal is to equip patients with the skills, aids and confidence needed to function as independently as possible.

What is low vision?

Low vision is a visual impairment that can not be corrected by standard eyeglasses, contact lenses, medication or surgery. Most people with low vision have some usable sight and the loss has been gradual.

The program benefits patients with:

  • Macular Degeneration
  • Diabetic Retinopathy
  • Cataracts
  • Glaucoma
  • Brain injury/Stroke

Patients with diagnoses that contribute to vision impairment would also benefit.

Safe Sight Staff

Our program utilizes registered nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists with advanced low vision training.

Services include:

  • Falls prevention and retraining in ADL’s
  • Retraining and adapting the patient’s home environment with safety as the priority
  • Providing training to enhance existing vision
  • Evaluating the impact of low vision on the patient’s ability to manage medications and other medical conditions

Let VNA Nazareth Home Care show you how Safe Sight can add to your quality of life.
