Financial Considerations

Financial considerations are great since a majority of plastic surgery is not covered by insurance. The good news is that plastic and aesthetic surgery is not for the rich and famous anymore. At Jewish Hospital, we have attempted to make it affordable for the patient who is paying out-of-pocket. All fees and related medical expenses depend on the complexity of the procedure, the type of anesthesia used and the length of hospital stay. Fees for elective surgery are paid prior to the operation. Your insurance may cover certain procedures, depending on the type of surgery you choose. The Center accepts major credit cards, cash and certified checks.

The costs for each procedure are a general range for the surgeon's fee, the hospital facility fee and the fee for the anesthesiologists.

The variation in the range is due to the difference in surgeon's fees and whether the procedure is performed under local or general anesthesia. The quoted costs do not include the charge for overnight stays. Currently, the overnight charge includes all medications, supplies, meals and care provided by nursing staff.
