Body Contouring

Suction Lipectomy

Suction Lipectomy or liposuction, improves body shape using a tube and vacuum device to remove unwanted fat deposits that don't respond to dieting and exercise. Locations include chin, cheeks, neck, upper arms, above breasts, abdomen, buttocks, hips, thighs, knees, calves and ankles. The procedure takes 1 - 2 hours or more depending on the extent and volume removed. You will probably experience temporary bruising, swelling, numbness, soreness and burning sensations. You will need to wear a supportive garment over the affected area to secure firm compression, promote skin shrinkage and to minimize swelling.

Back to work: 1 - 2 weeks.

More strenuous activity: 2 - 4 weeks. Swelling and bruising: 1 - 2 months.

Abdominoplasty

Tummy Tuck or abdominoplasty, flattens the abdomen by removing excess fat and skin and tightening the muscles of the abdominal wall. The incision is made in the lower abdomen, within what is sometimes called the "bikini line." A new navel is created. The procedure takes 3 - 4 hours or longer depending on the amount of skin and tissue to be removed. Temporary pain is relieved with pain medication. You should expect swelling, soreness, numbness of abdominal skin, bruising and redness for several weeks or months.

Back to work: 2 - 4 weeks.

More strenuous activity: 4 - 6 weeks or more.
