Pre-Admission Testing & Teaching

Jewish Hospital's Pre-Admission Testing and Teaching program is designed for patient's undergoing Orthopaedic surgery to prepare them for surgery and the recovery process. The program begins with your physician. The patient receives an information packet and an appointment for pre-operative labs, x-rays and teaching sessions.

Upon arrival for the pre-admission testing and teaching appointment, labs and x-ray work are completed and the patient receives a teaching session with a registered nurse and physical therapist.

The patient leaves with a clear understanding of the surgery and recovery period.
