Neuroscience Institute is supported by a highly skilled radiology staff
and the latest medical imaging technology. The diagnostic capabilities
of the Neuroscience Institute include a wide variety of evaluation services,
most available on either an inpatient or outpatient basis. Jewish Hospital
offers state-of-the-art Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) technology and
is equipped to perform diverse neurological studies and neurodiagnostic
testing for a broad range of disorders of the brain, spinal cord and nervous
system.
Neuroradiological & Medical Imaging Services include:
- Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) (not for patients with certain metallic
implants such as pacemakers, neuro- aneurysm clips, etc.).
- Computer Assisted Tomography (CT) scanning
- Color vascular and digital vascular imaging
- Color ultrasound
- Color Transcranial Doppler
- A full range of nuclear medicine
Neurodiagnostic Services include:
- Electromyography
- Nerve conduction studies
- Electroencephalography
- Visual, brainstem, auditory and somatosensory evoked potential testing
